A drone can fly a mission to collect a series of photographs and those images are useful in a variety of ways. They can be used to augment satellite rendering of an area or create something like the fish-eye view shown here. When I created it I thought it might make a nice coaster so I put it in with my Coaster logic.
When I updated my Coaster Maker last week I saw the image sitting there and decided to do a little more research. I wanted something durable and pulp board seemed to be what was used for coasters so I kept looking.
A clock? I liked the look and size but didn’t want a clock. Ah, a plate… I realized I have seen wedding picture dinner plates and with that revelation my searches became quite fruitful.
Dinner Plates
Food-safe, dishwasher-safe melamine photo plates are reasonably priced and available from multiple sources. This is a really cool use of a drone. I like the fish-eye view of the cabin and Kenai river, “The world view from the mind of a fisherman.”
